Founded in 1945 , initially the company name was MERI (Materiel et Equipement Rationnels pour l’Industrie),. MERI registered the trademark ETRI (Etudes techniques et Représentations Industrielles) : It was only a design studio.
Then ETRI started with ventilation with air treatment in mines and then expanded its business to many different kinds of applications, such as electronics cooling, railway applications, avionics applications, … ETRI opened its American subsidiary ETRI Inc. in 1976, now called ROSENBERG USA.
The ETRI brand was later acquired by Convergie and finally by ECOFIT in 2002 (now ROSENBERG VENDÔME).
ETRI yesterday : An example of an old ETRI fan is the crank fan.
It is an old AC centrifugal fan It was developed to be installed in air-raid shelters to ensure constant airflow change. In case of power failure, it could also operate by a hand crank.
ETRI today :
Today’s fan from ETRI is mainly equipped with integrated electronics as shown in the picture. Electronics is one of the keys to efficient fans tailored to each specific ventilation requirement: special speed control, alarm,…
What hasn’t and won’t change from ETRI: technical studies tailored specifically to the needs of our clients.
